Gary brings over 30 years senior managerial experience to RPS, the majority of which was gained at ICI in plant operations and industrial packaging solutions.

Responsible for business development, both in the UK and European markets, Gary ensures his extensive industry knowledge continues to push the growth of the business across multiple jurisdictions.

As a key member of the IPS Network (a collaboration formed of industry defining packaging recovery specialists), Gary is at the very forefront of packaging recovery thought leadership and is recognised as an expert in modern logistics development.

When not leading the team at RPS, Gary enjoys a nice game of quoits and is a season ticket holder at Sunderland AFC.

Tim Hutchinson

Tim has been at the forefront of packaging strategy for most of his career, including 20 years in the engineering plastics sector with ICI.

Working closely with our clients, Tim manages solutions for their packaging waste obligations, giving particular focus to supporting ongoing sustainability projects.

Ever the innovator, Tim has introduced some truly game-changing solutions including the design and implementation of returnable packs for kitchen worktops that was subsequently adopted by B&Q.

On the rare occasions Tim spends away from RPS, he can be found game fishing either on dry land or at sea… a challenge not unlike the constantly evolving day job.

Owen Hines
General Manager

Owen has been a key member of the RPS leadership team since 2006, prior to which he was Supply Chain Manager at Dunlopillo Harrogate.

Responsible for the overall operational performance of RPS, Owen has a particular focus on driving commercial growth through maintaining consistently high levels of customer service.

Owen also sits on the IPS Network team, giving him great visibility of latest developments and agreed best practice across the packaging industry.

Another keen fisherman in the RPS ranks, Owen is never happier than when catching monster carp in competitions nationwide.

Thomas Hudson
Logistics Manager

Thomas is at the heart of the logistics performance team at RPS. Responsible for the seamless efficiency our customers expect, he ensures a programme of continual analysis brings real world benefits to our systems.

Alongside his logistics management role, Thomas also ensures all RPS activity is undertaken with a fully integrated environmental policy - something we are immensely proud of.

Through concentrated analysis of our depot performance, Thomas led the team that attained our ISO14001 accreditation.

When not at RPS, Thomas enjoys live music, studying history with the Open University and enjoying married life - although not necessarily in that order!

Jez Norton
Depot Manager

Jez is the man responsible for the operations team at our depot in Ripon.

A member of the team since we began back in 2002, he works closely with senior management to ensure all developments and customer requirements are shared with the wider depot floor team. Jez is also responsible for our Health & Safety commitments, an area we are particularly proud of our record.

Always striving for improvements, both in the business and personally, Jez has IOSH and NVQ5 in Operational Excellence alongside being an affiliated member of the CMI.

Football takes up a lot of his non-RPS time, with 5-a-side a particular passion, alongside following a decidedly 'non-local' team... Chelsea.

Janice Gibson

For many of our customers, Janice is the voice of RPS.

As key liaison between the business, our customers and their key collection points, Janice ensures all parties have complete confidence in our delivery and collection movements.

Since joining RPS in 2008, Janice has concentrated on maximising our efficiency, especially in relation to customer service and retention.

When not behind the desk, Janice enjoys the active life.

Squash is a particular favourite as is the equally fast paced kite boarding!

Liz Betts
Financial Controller

Since joining RPS in 2007, Liz has ensured that the business has the financial systems and infrastructure to match our ambitious goals.

Responsible for all business financials, Liz also acts as HR co-ordinator for the business, ensuring all personnel matters are dealt with as efficiently as the numbers.

When not at our Ripon HQ, Liz likes regular swimming sessions and is a keen Arts & Crafts enthusiast.
